This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit wpadpresso.com, why we do it and which rights you have.

1. Controller

Stephan Depta Softwareentwicklung

Germany
Email: info@wpadpresso.com

We are not required to appoint a data protection officer and have not appointed one.

2. Overview and legal bases

We process personal data only where a legal basis applies. The relevant bases are:

  • Consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and for storing or reading information on your device § 25(1) TDDDG.
  • Contract and pre-contractual steps, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, for example when you buy a license.
  • Legal obligations, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, for example tax retention duties.
  • Legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, for example a secure and stable website. For technically necessary storage on your device, § 25(2) TDDDG applies.

You can withdraw a consent at any time with effect for the future. Use the link “Privacy” in the footer of every page to change your choice.

3. Hosting and server log files

Our website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM - Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider.

When you open our website, the server automatically logs information that your browser sends: date and time, requested page, referrer URL, browser and operating system. Your IP address is fully anonymized before it is stored, so the log files contain no IP address. We need this data to deliver the website and to detect and fix errors and attacks. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are deleted after 7 days.

To make pages load faster, we use the caching plugin FlyingPress. It stores optimized copies of our pages and files on our own server. No data is sent to the provider of the plugin.

4. Consent management with Real Cookie Banner

We use Real Cookie Banner by devowl.io GmbH, Tübingen, Germany, to ask for and store your consent. The plugin runs on our server. It stores your decision in a cookie on your device and a record of your consent in our database, so that we can prove it. The record contains a pseudonymous ID, the time, your choices and technical information about the banner. IP addresses are not stored. The consent cookie is kept for 365 days. Consent records are kept for 120 months. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR.

5. Fonts

Our website uses the fonts Inter and Bitter. They are loaded from our own server. No connection to Google is made for this.

6. Contact form and email

If you contact us through the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide, usually your name, email address, subject and message, to answer your request. The form uses the plugin Contact Form 7. Messages are sent to us by email and also stored in our database with the plugin Flamingo. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The messages remain stored in our database until we delete them manually.

7. Newsletter with Mailchimp

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use Mailchimp, a service of The Rocket Science Group LLC (Intuit), 405 N Angier Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. We use the double opt-in procedure: after you subscribe, you receive an email and confirm your subscription with a link. We store your email address, the time of subscription and confirmation and the IP address used, so that we can prove your consent. Our newsletters measure whether an email was opened and which links were clicked, so that we can improve our content. Legal basis is your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.

The subscription form does not load any files from Mailchimp. Your data is only sent to Mailchimp when you submit the form.

The Rocket Science Group LLC is covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework certification of Intuit Inc.

8. Buying a license with Freemius

AdPresso Pro is sold through Freemius, Inc., 4023 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, Delaware 19807, USA. Freemius acts as merchant of record: your purchase contract is concluded with Freemius, and Freemius processes payment, invoicing and taxes. Freemius’ own privacy policy applies to this processing: freemius.com/privacy. When you open the checkout, Freemius processes the data you enter, such as name, email address, billing address and payment details, to complete the purchase and to deliver your license. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

On our pricing page, the Freemius checkout script is loaded from checkout.freemius.com when the page opens, so that the checkout opens without delay. Your browser transmits your IP address to Freemius. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

9. Web analytics with Google Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It is integrated with the plugin Site Kit by Google. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyze how visitors use our website, for example which pages are visited and how long. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis is your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. Event data is retained for 2 months, user data for 14 months. We have accepted Google’s data processing terms for Google Analytics.

10. YouTube videos

We embed videos from YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. A video loads only after you have consented to YouTube. Until then, you see a placeholder. When the video loads, YouTube receives your IP address and the page you are on and can store cookies on your device. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis is your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG.

11. Links to social networks

Our website links to our profiles on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, YouTube, GitHub and WordPress.org. These are simple links. Data is only sent to the network when you click a link and open its website.

12. Recipients and transfers to third countries

We share data only with the providers named above, as far as this is needed for the purposes described. Where data is transferred to the USA, the transfer is based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses.

13. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise your rights, write to the email address in section 1.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is: Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65189 Wiesbaden, Germany.

14. Changes

We update this privacy policy when our website or the legal requirements change. Last updated: November 4, 2026.
